Where You Can Find Us

We gave everyone a small slip of paper at the Reunion letting you know where you could find us.  Well, that's changed a little too.  Keep in mind that, obviously, we still have this blog.  The FaceBook group is up and active and we've got the Shutterfly account.  However, due to a lack of followers we've closed the Twitter account.  So, if you're interested in us having a Twitter, let us know if you'd like to follow us and we'll consider re-opening a different (new) account.

If you don't know, or aren't sure, what Shutterfly is let me explain it a little bit.  Shutterfly is a site to store photos and updates, kinda like FaceBook.  The reason I (Alicia) chose Shutterfly instead of just uploading everything to FaceBook was the assurance that the photos would be safe just in case something happened elsewhere.  Now, if you sign up for Shutterfly, normally, you can get free prints of photos.  You can also order things like coffee mugs, mouse pads, and other little things from Shutterfly.  If you're not sure how to get to our account, just click HERE.  No, I don't work for Shutterfly but I do use it for personal photo storage and I've been nothing but happy with them.  You don't have to sign up for an account but it's a nice place to check out once in a while.

Anyway, yea, that's the little update that I have for now.  Of course, when there's more to update, I will do so here, and on FaceBook.

Donations

At the reunion, we asked everyone to keep in mind that donations are always welcome.  Well, we've changed the way you donate.  Instead of leaving the account open in mine and Christies name we've closed the account and will be passing the money onto Charish and Savannah.  First, let me say that we're extremely thankful to them for taking this over, we know they're going to do a great job.  Second, to find out how to donate, please contact either of them for information.

Charish

Savannah

As always, you can use the class email

Thanks to all of you, we collected over $500 at the reunion.  We couldn't say thank you enough for donating.  If it weren't for that, we wouldn't have taken in so much money.  We look forward to seeing you at the next reunion.  Also, if you have any information on people who weren't at the reunion (a phone number, an email, an address, whatever) please let us know here or in the group.

As of now, I (Alicia) will be keeping up with the blog and shutterfly.  Charish has asked that I do that and I'll be glad to.  So for now, that's all from me.  When I have more information I'll be happy to post it here.

Till next time,

Alicia (Halladay) Anderson

We Did It

Well ladies and gentlemen, as sad as it is to say, the reunion is over.  It's finished.  As a planner, I'm quite happy to say this blog is the last thing I have to worry about.  Cassie, Christie, and I will be passing the torch to Charish and Savannah (and whoever they elect) with the next little while.

I took quite a lot of pictures and there are a few places that you can find them.  If you're a member of the Facebook group, they've all been posted there.  I'm also working on a class website through Shutterfly.  If you've never heard of Shutterfly, it's a great site.  You upload your photos onto their site and you can create amazing web pages with those photos.  You can also order many different things off of their website with those photos.  Coffee mugs, mouse pads, photobooks, etc.  No, I don't work for Shutterfly I just love their services.  I've you'd like to check them out the link is HERE.  If you want to check out our Shutterfly webpage, click HERE.  Be aware, this site is not fully operational yet so bare with me while I set it up.

I know we handed out small slips of paper telling everyone where they could find us but I think it's appropriate to post that list here as well.  Obviously, if you've made it here, you found our blog but here is the rest of the list.  Just click on one of the following and it will take you where you need to go.

We really hope to see a lot more people following this blog.  I'll post the instructions for donating to the class fund and remember, you don't have to donate a lot, or even often, but please every little bit counts.

Less Than 5 Weeks

We're slowly running out of time until the reunion.  We need anyone who is planning on attending to send in an RSVP, either right here, or you can email us.  Our e-mail address is in the sidebar directly to the left, at the top.  Also, not many people have paid yet which means we're working off of funds from the previous reunion.  That won't be a problem, for now, but we really need you to either send in a payment (with a check) to Christie, or pay through Paypal as soon as possible.  For Christies address, email her (caustad AT hotmail.com)  The instructions on how to pay through Paypal are also in the left sidebar, down toward the bottom of the page.  After August 28th (or at the door) the pricing goes from $10 a person up to $12 a person so be aware of that.

On a side note, I've been searching out other reunions on Facebook and Twitter, etc, and have noticed that the price we're charging is much lower than most.  I actually saw people being charged $60 just to attend their reunion, HOLY SMOKES!!

We're still looking for people to help collect information, but we're getting closer to finding people that we don't have info for.  If you know of anyone else willing to help, that would be fantastic.

For right now, I can't think of anything more important than getting in those RSVPs so please, please, please do so ASAP!!

Thanks
Alicia

Looking For Help

To those of you that follow, or read, this blog, we're looking for a little help in contacting classmates.  We've got lots of information but we're not sure if any of it is correct.  We're looking for 3 or 4 people that might be interested in helping call some phone numbers to find "missing classmates."  If you're interested, or have the time to do so, please leave a comment here or email us at hhs-classof-2000@hotmail.com.  Thanks!!

Also, we've sent out invitations via e-mail to every active email address we knowingly have.  If you've received this e-mail, please respond back with an RSVP.

New Music

I searched out some of the songs that were popular the year of our graduation.  Check down at the bottom, turn your speakers up, and rock out to some "oldies." LOL.

Payments

There haven't been that many people that have paid yet, and that's alright.  We've had a couple questions about what the payment is if you and your family plan on attending the morning event only.  The $10 that we're charging is for dinner and we're not asking you to pay anything for the morning event.  However, if you'd like to donate something (maybe $3 or $4 per person) that would be fantastic.

New Instructions For Paying Through Paypal

If you follow this blog, you'll notice that the "Pay Now" button has been removed.  Well, I called Paypal because the first payment that was made through paypal had a fee taken out of it.  According to their site, it wasn't supposed to have any fees associated.  Come to find out, with making the Pay Now button, I was forcing people to make a payment for a product or service instead of making a personal payment.  So, at the bottom of the margin, there are instructions on how to make a payment through paypal, if you have a paypal account.  We still CANNOT accept debit or credit card payments unless you opt to pay the fee.  At the top of this page there is a disclaimer, please read that before making a payment or donating.

Thanks everyone.

Raising Money

Does anyone have any ideas on how to raise money for the reunion fund?  Parking Lot Sales, Car Washes, etc.  Anything other than those, obvious, two.  Let me know and we'll see about working on doing something to raise a little more money to go towards our reunions.

Save The Date

Date: Saturday, September 4, 2010
Time: 10:30am - Family Activity - Hurricane Intermediate - South Lawn
Time:  6:30pm - Adults Only Dinner - Hurricane Intermediate
Street: 1325 S 700 W, Hurricane, UT
City/Town: Hurricane, UT

We're having a family event in the morning with an adults only event in the evening.

Unfortunately, we still weren't able to get the High School and for some reason, the Secretary doesn't want to make herself available. I've called, emailed, and dropped by without luck of keeping in contact with her. I'm still trying so we can take a walkthrough of the High School between activities on the 4th.  The High School wasn't available on the 4th and again, I can't seem to get her to contact me back about a different date.  I won't give up though.

For the family activity at 10:30 am, we'll be playing water related activities, so come prepared with a towel and clothes that you might possibly get wet in. We'll also be providing popsicles and bottled water for all in attendance.

For dinner at 6:30 pm, we'll be having Hawaiian Haystacks and Root Beer Floats. If you know anyone willing to help prepare the food, that would be fantastic. We currently have people helping to prepare but more people would always be helpful. Most of the evening is going to be spent chatting it up with old classmates since that's what most of you wanted to do.

Your spouse or significant other is invited to dinner.

If you wander toward the bottom of the page, you'll find the "Pay Now" link through Paypal.  Here are the prices

Advance Purchase - No Charge For Children
One Person - $10
Couple (2 People) - $20

At The Door Pricing - No Charge For Children
One Person - $12
Couple (2 People) - $24

At the very bottom of the page is a Donate button.  Do not mistake this for the ticket purchase button.  However, if you'd like to donate to future reunions, feel free to do so.
